Pomorska Fundacja Rozwoju, Kultury i Sztuki powołana została w 1995 roku. Nasza działalność ewoluowała od promocji kultury i sztuki w kierunku rozwoju edukacji, zagadnień obywatelskich, współpracy z administracją, upowszechniania wiedzy o integracji europejskiej. Obecnie główne obszary działalności to pomoc organizacjom pozarządowym, rozwijanie współpracy międzynarodowej lokalnych i regionalnych podmiotów, realizacja procesów partycypacji obywateli w życiu publicznym oraz poradnictwo obywatelskie i prawne.

Nasze działania są w zdecydowanej większości nieodpłatne dla odbiorców. Natomiast w ramach działalności gospodarczej sporządzamy wnioski o dofinansowanie projektów ze środków Europejskiego Funduszu Społecznego (Regionalne Programy Operacyjne, PO WER, PO KL), jak i ze środków krajowych (Program FIO i inne). Pomagamy także koordynować i rozliczać projekty z tych programów.

Zarząd Fundacji jest jednoosobowy. Prezesem Fundacji jest Jan M. Grabowski.

ENGLISH SUMMARY

The Pomeranian Foundation of Development, Culture, and Art was established in 1995. Since then, we have been taking up many challenges connected with civic activity and civic engagement. We have been developing education, promoting European integration, building cross-sectoral cooperation, and creating a civic and legal support system. Nowadays, we focus on improving the quality of local NGOs through, e.g., engaging them with international volunteering or inspiring their leaders. And we’re still active in the field of civic engagement. 

Our motto is ‘We seek, we inspire, we change’.
 
We seek because we are not satisfied with stencils. Whatever we do, we always analyze the current situation deeply and seek innovations, new forms, and non-typical and more effective solutions. 
We inspire by sharing our ideas, patterns, and conclusions with organizations, public administration, and citizens. We conduct training and workshops, we publish and encourage others to take up creative projects, and we raise money to realize our plans. 
We change – we implement our concepts in cooperation with many partners at local, regional, and national levels. We are engaged in public consultations, working groups, and evaluation committees. We introduce new standards.

We take part in international study visits, where we look for inspiration on how to effectively support other organizations and how to increase their quality. We want to get to knowthink tanks working on issues connected with the third sector. We are interested in solutions that engage citizens with public life, especially at the local level and in less urbanized areas.We would also like to meet with organizations active within the European Solidarity Corps.
